SCHOOL PROFILE
The school profile has now been written to replace the Governors' Annual Report to Parents. This has been posted onto the website at
www.st-johnscefirst..ik.org
If you would like a paper copy then please call at the office. It is a report based on the year 2004/2005.
The last Governors? Annual Report covered the same curriculum year 2004/2005 and it was a superb report with beautiful photographs and drawing.
The new Profile is quite plain compared to the report we produced.
DIARY DATES
All dates for the diary will be posted onto the website in addition to being in the newsletter.
In the recent questionnaire sent out to parents, a few parents felt that they were not kept informed. If anyone has any ideas for communication please let us know. We already operate pupil post, newsletters, the web site, parents? notice board e-mail and communication from teacher to parent.
WANTED
Parents Carers to help children with reading.
PARENTS AND PUPILS QUESTIONNAIRES
We are in the process of collating all of the information and will publish the results soon.
HOT LUNCHES
The new format will start on Monday. The new menu looks exciting and the meals these last few days have been delicious.
*** PUPIL NEWS ***
We are going to report on pupils (including ex pupils) and what they are doing now.
Firstly, our own Ellis Stubbins in class 4B is now a member of Wolverhampton Wanderers Junior Football Team. He was spotted by a scout last term and was invited to join the team. What an honour! He is so modest about it but he is a brilliant player.
Well done Ellis.
Also, an ex pupil of this school, Gavin Ramjaun is the latest presenter to join the cbbc news team.
Gavin was always chatty and full of fun when he was here and we are not surprised that he has gone on to be a news presenter. You can read about Gavin on the BBC website at
www.bbc.co.uk
Don?t forget to watch Newsround on Saturday mornings, every hour.
Finally, in the last year of
St John?s CE First School we should like to hear from ex pupils and what they are doing now. We know that one of them is working with the Vet Safari Team. If anyone knows of any ex pupils and what they are doing, we should love to hear from them. Several of our ?old? pupils still live and work locally. Contact us please!
Many ex pupils have children of their own. Let us know!
