Instead of sending fruit and vegetables to church to be auctioned we are going to take part in the Send a Cow project. The children have been learning about this in worship
Your child will bring home an envelope and on the front of it we would like them to draw a picture, write a poem or a story about harvest and put a donation inside the envelope. Thank you on behalf of the children of the Send a Cow project.
SMALL SEEDS GROW INTO BIG DREAMS
Before any farmer receives livestock from the Send a Cow programme they have to go through preparatory training. For most of the farmers this training is as important as the livestock they receive. After they have received their animals and training ,the farmers are provided with a starter pack of seeds. They then go on to produce a very good harvest from the seeds using the manure from the livestock. This has greatly improved children's health as they are eating home grown produce.
