News of Mrs Perkins
Mrs Perkins is now out of hospital and is making a steady recovery. She hopes to return to school just after half term.

PARENT??S EVENINGS
Every family should have received a letter about Parent?s Evenings. They are next week on Tuesday 17th and Thursday 18th October for 1NC and 2R. After half term on Tuesday 31st October and Thursday 2nd November for every other class.

A parent remarked during the week that it was now much more difficult to get into school. She wanted to observe an after school club. School security and the safety of both children and adults is a serious business and sadly a necessity of our times. Tight security exists in many public places, too numerous to name and certainly in schools which care about members of their community. All adults coming into school are required to have had a clear CRB check for this school. CRBs are not transferable. Many children do not want to be made to feel uncomfortable by other children?s parents; children are entitled to privacy when they change for PE or learn new skills in a club.
This term staff have been intimidated by aggressive behaviour from parents who entered school early in the morning and late afternoon. Yesterday Mrs Lambert was verbally abused by a parent in front of children. Therefore, for the continuing safety of children and staff, the rule of parent?s/carers speaking to office staff and if necessary making an appointment to see a member of staff will continue. Messages can be passed on to relevant staff.
Adults are regularly invited to view their child?s performance or achievement and on these occasions we are able to monitor who is in school. Parents without a specific invitation will not be allowed into school to view clubs. Children will continue to be collected from after school clubs at the designated time from the covered way. Your co-operation is expected.
